Update

School has started again and we are finished with 1st Quarter. Yesterday we had our first quarter reward. We began the day with a movie. The kids seemed to love their choice - Zoo Keeper. After the movie we went out side and cooked hotdogs by the fire. Once lunch was over we played relay races, sock dodge ball, noodle hockey, and tug-o-war. The weather was beautiful for our day outside. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as the teachers did.

We will then get back to typing. 7th graders are working on perfecting their typing and learning some formatting skills in Microsoft Word. We are almost done with our typing book and then will begin working on Microsoft Excel and Power Point.

Quarter End

Last Friday, the 23rd, was the end of 1st quarter. I spent the weekend finishing grading your papers and entering your grades into the grade book. I am VERY happy with the grades you have earned in computers this quarter. You have all worked so hard and your typing skills are improving all of the time because of your efforts! Today we start Parent Teacher Conferences and I am excited to talk to your parents and tell them how wonderful you are all doing. My goal for next quarter for 7th grade is to continue improving our typing skills and start learning formatting in Microsoft Word. We will also start working on projects from other classes that require the use of computers. 8th grade, my goal for you is also to continue improving your typing skills. Many of you are great typist and I want you to focus on your accuracy while keeping your speed. We will also continue working with your other classes on projects that require technology. Let me know if you have any questions or comments!
